Are you interested in issues of diversity, inequality and social justice? Become an expert in intersectional research and apply your knowledge to real-world challenges. Make a difference - start here!
This Intersectional Gender Studies programme provides you with an interdisciplinary and intersectional perspective, combining insights from cultural studies, sociology, political sciences, and social psychology, among others.
You will learn to analyse how social categories such as gender, race, disability and class intersect and shape inequalities at individual, structural, and cultural levels. The programme includes hands-on research projects where you apply your knowledge to real-world challenges, such as the gender pay gap, unequal access to healthcare, and biases in artificial intelligence. You will critically reflect on existing policy interventions and assess their effectiveness in addressing these layered issues.
By the end of your studies, you will be equipped to (re)design policies and interventions that are inclusive and responsive to the complexities of societal inequality.
By the end of your studies, you'll be equipped to drive social change and promote greater equality in your professional career.
Career prospects include positions in policy development, research, consultancy, and advocacy within governmental bodies, NGOs, educational institutions, and cultural organisations. You'll be in high demand as an expert capable of designing and implementing inclusive, intersectional solutions across various sectors.
